Written in January 2026 shortly after the 14th December 2025 Bondi Beach Hanukkah shooting, This song is inspired by the survivors, their families and leadership of the impacted Jewish communities, (and Melbourne non-Jew and dad of 4, also tragically caught in the crossfire after a swim), and how, in the face of so much tragedy, they resolved not to turn to hate, revenge or victimhood, and instead to turn to advocacy, education and increased acts of goodness and kindness. In other words, to "Turn Darkness into Light."
