A Journey Into Oneness is written in the spirit of the Book of Psalms/Tehillim. It is a plea for closeness and connection to God and a plea for help and guidance through our everyday journey. At its core, there is a longing for the promised, long awaited for Redemption, with the ultimate physical and spiritual leap in consciousness it promises.
7 songs written over an intense 2 weeks, (after a break from songwriting for close to 6 years), it became like a conversation with God, a stream of consciousness, each song and idea building and expanding upon the others. Ultimately the songs are presented in the order they were written, to convey some of this feel.
My vision for an all male Klezmer style experience (with a hint of 60's flower power : ), came to fruition through a circuitous but serendipitous route, where 2 separate people (thank you A K, thank you Rebbetzin B Z), put me in contact with Pey Dalid the long time Yonkers, New York band. They agreed to help me bring this vision to life and the musical recording began in Aug 2023.
Fast forward to 7th Oct 2023 and a new 8th song, Purified, was sent to Pey Dalid on the 12th Oct and added to the mix. Close to You was going to be the last song, but with current events, there was obviously still more in this 'stream of consciousness' to process.
Over the next 2 years the songs were developed, with Pey Dalid also recording the vocals, a development I am so grateful for.
So after 3 years with so much 'life' in between, A Journey Into Oneness is finally here, a group of Gen X creatives, who each get to uniquely express as I first described the project to Pey Dalid, this 'love song to God', a relationship of complexities, of passion, faithfulness, confusion, anguish, joy and devotion.
Thank you to Pey Dalid for bringing these songs to life so authentically with so much depth, positivity and energy.
And thank you for taking the time to read, listen and be a part of this Journey however you may choose.
It's been a beautiful experience and I hope it resonates on High. Thank you Hashem for the inspiration and for arranging everything.
Love
Zimrah

A song exploring the concept that everything is, and comes from God; good and what may appear bad. Not always easy, but an opportunity to transform ourselves and the world.
